Alonza Dazzles in Phoenix Win
|
Phoenix and Pennsauken duked it out at Pennsauken Park and the Hotspur Reserves came out victorious.
Phoenix beat Pennsauken at Pennsauken Park, eking out a 8-0 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Santiago Alonza, who earned player of the game honors. The Hotspur Reserves, at 35-17, have now won 4 straight.
In his 111-pitch effort, Alonza allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings. He walked 4 and struck out 6.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Alonza, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
