The inspired effort of Tortolita second baseman Eddie O'Bryan was not enough to prevent a 6-3 loss to the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. O'Bryan went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Hotspur Reserves now have a record of 31-16 with the win over Tortolita.
Pepe Reyes's at-bat in the top of the fourth was significant for the Hotspur Reserves. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 3rd and Phoenix trailing 2-1, the second baseman hit a sacrifice fly.
Reyes attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
