Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Lake Monsters

The Lake Monsters had to overcome a good performance from Alloway pitcher Jim Unknown to claim a 2-1 win at Monster Field. Unknown went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. After today's action, Vermont sits at 22-22, while Alloway falls to 24-20.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Rodrigo Velasco had a chance to end it. Alloway pitcher Jim Unknown had other ideas. But with no outs, Velasco drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Lake Monsters had the walk-off win.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Vermont manager Mike Cunningham.
