Lake Monsters Walk It Off for 20th Win of Season
The Vermont Lake Monsters topped the Augusta Timber Hawks by the score of 9-8, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Adrian Smith. Smith was 2 for 2 with a home run and 4 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Lake Monsters. Vermont reliever Cherles Gachineiro picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Rodrigo Rangel shouldered the loss. Vermont now sits at 20-20, while Augusta falls to 13-27.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Vermont pinch hitter Brad Tillman, facing Rodrigo Rangel, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Lake Monsters the 9-8 win.
