Lake Monsters Need Extra Frames to Get Past Drummers
In a close game at Monster Field, the Vermont Lake Monsters edged the Tortolita Drummers, 5-4. Vermont first baseman Brad Tillman earned the nod as player of the game after he was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Sammy Nash, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. This win makes it 3 in a row for Vermont.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Tillman hit a slider from Pedro Figueroa for a run-scoring single. The Lake Monsters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
