Fighting Dachsunds Come Up Short at Augusta
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds got a sterling performance from first baseman José Vázquez, but the Timber Hawks still prevailed, 7-4. Vázquez was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Earning his 1st save for Augusta was Rodrigo Rangel. Even with the win, the Augusta Timber Hawks have a dismal 9-25 record.

Baní, Dominican Republic-born Alberto Torres came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Timber Hawks trailing 2-0, he hit a 3-run home run to right-center to put Augusta on top.
