BC Come Up Short at Tortolita
|
The Houston BC got a superb performance from pitcher Mark Collingwood, but the Drummers still won the game, 5-4. Collingwood was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. The Tortolita winning streak has now reached 5 games.
In the bottom of the 7th, third baseman Tyrone Scott gave Tortolita the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Drummers had been trailing 4-2, but the two-out home run off Houston pitcher Jamie Scott changed that -- and Tortolita went on to win.
"This team is real focused right now," said Tortolita Drummers manager Juan López.
