Lake Monsters Lose, 4-3, at Dog Park in Ellenburg
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Nobody did more than pitcher Bill Gentry, who captured player of the game honors. Gentry was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-1. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 5 walks. The Lake Monsters, now 11-17, have lost 5 in a row.

Jack Burton, the Ellenburg center fielder, contributed a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-0, Fighting Dachsunds. For the game, Burton was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles.
