Gustavo Pérez was superb against Augusta. Pérez, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA with a 7.6 K/9 rate, had a change up that was virtually unhittable at times. Pérez was the winning pitcher and moves to 3-1. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 4 walks. Tortolita is 4th in the Silver AAA with a record of 12-9.

Jorge Rosa brought the hometown crowd to its feet in the bottom of the first. That's when the 32-year old shortstop belted a 3-run home run. With the round-tripper, the Drummers took the lead, 3-0.

In comments to the Tortolita Observer, Rosa admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
