The Timber Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Tortolita pitcher Pedro Figueroa to claim a 5-4 win at Drummers Ballpark. Figueroa went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. The win was credited to Santiago Romo in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Pedro Figueroa took the loss. Earnest Cogan closed the door for Augusta, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

In the top of the seventh, Chris Rice had a big run-scoring double off Pedro Figueroa. With the double, the Augusta pinch hitter put his team in front, 5-4. He was 1-1 with a double in the contest.

"We'll build on this win," said Rice.

The Tortolita Drummers, now 11-9, continue their slow start.
