Behind a solid performance from shortstop Jesús Martínez, the Tortolita Drummers defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-5. Martínez went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times for the Drummers. Mike Desmond finished to wrap up his 6th save. The loss lowers the record for Pennsauken to 11-7.

Ft. Carson, Colorado-born Tyrone Scott came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Drummers trailing 4-2, he hit a 3-run home run to center to put Tortolita on top.

"Feels good to get the job done," Martínez said after the game.
