The Sun Caps had to overcome a good performance from Ellenburg pitcher Bill Gentry to claim a 4-3 win at Jersey City Grounds. Gentry went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The win moves Jersey City to a record of 9-7.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth. That's when Jersey City center fielder Alfredo Pizarro, facing Bill Schneider, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Sun Caps the 4-3 win.

"It feels good to get that win," said Pizarro. "Now it's on to the next one."
