Shawn Williams was superb against Tortolita. Williams, the two overall pick in the 2021 draft, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The Drummers fall to 5-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2026 season.

Williams made it look easy. He scattered 2 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-0.
