Hotspur Reserves Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves trumped the Augusta Timber Hawks, 7-6, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Phoenix third baseman Alex Niemann was named player of the game for his performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Bryan Jones in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Norm Burris took the loss. Things have gone south in a hurry for the defending champion Hotspur Reserves, who notched only their 4th win in 11 games.
