Lake Monsters Win at Tortolita, 3-1
|
The Tortolita Drummers got a superb performance from pitcher Stanley Neal. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Vermont. The Lake Monsters won the game, 3-1. In spite of the loss, Neal was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 3 runs. With the win, Vermont elevates its record to 1-3.
Rafael Pueblo was a key contributor to the win for the Lake Monsters. In the top of the sixth with no one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a double to right-center. He was 2-4 with a double.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Pueblo.
