The D.C. Divided overcame a good performance by Detroit center fielder Eric D'Angle to knock off Detroit, 8-5, at Detroit Field. D'Angle was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Domingo Posadas got credit for the save for D.C.. It was his 2nd of the year. The 'W' lifts D.C.'s record to 27-22.

Also having an impact was second baseman Tony Romero, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth for D.C.. For the game, Romero went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
