The Vancouver Grey Wolves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Nelle Liefting, who muffled the Wizarding offense en route to a tight 3-1 Grey Wolves win at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Liefting was the winning pitcher and moves to 3-5. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Alfonso Vera recorded the save for Vancouver, his 4th of the season.

Also producing for Vancouver was left fielder Aquiles Marmelo, who stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Marmelo went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

Liefting told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
