Boston left fielder Alberto Enríquez made his presence felt in the 7-3 Patriots triumph over the Detroit Renaissance. Enríquez was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Pancho Padilla earned the save for Boston, his 2nd of the year. With the win over Detroit, the Patriots improved to 26-19.

Flexing his muscles for Boston was Karl Schultz. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth for the Patriots. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Schultz went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Schultz.
