|
Baldomero Avino made an impact in the 7-5 Panama City win over Wizarding. Avino, who is rated as the 2nd best prospect by BNN, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Panama City now sits at 22-19, while Wizarding falls to 26-15.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the eighth. That's when Marc Talamante hit a 2-run single. The Piranhas went on to win.
Avino called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
