Belugas Go Down to Defeat, 4-3
|
Tremont and Brinkley duked it out at Doubledays Stadium and the Doubledays came out victorious.
Getting a good performance from left fielder Sang Hong-Do, the Tremont Doubledays defeated the Brinkley Belugas, 4-3. Hong-Do was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk for the Doubledays. Jim Unknown picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 1-0. Jim Unknown was credited with the save for Tremont, his 1st of the season.
Pablo Ledesma, the Tremont catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 2-1, Doubledays. For the game, Ledesma was 1-4.
"It was a good effort all around," said Ledesma.
Tremont currently is in 8th place in the Menard's AAA at 44-57.
