Humpbacks Knock Off Sioux Falls at Sea World
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks scored a 6-3 win versus the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Sea World. Alaskan pitcher Bernardino Neagle nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Neagle was the winning pitcher and moves to 4-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The Humpbacks saw their record improve to 51-44.
Alaskan took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rob Morse stroked a run-scoring double to make it 2-1, Humpbacks.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Morse told the Alaskan Times. "Right now I'm feeling pretty good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
