Schneider Dazzles in Scranton Win
|
The Scranton Supernovas did just enough to sneak past the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-1, at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton pitcher Jeff Schneider earned player of the game honors. Bernardo Valdés was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities. The Supernovas own a robust 50-44 mark.
Schneider was effective for Scranton, seldom allowing the Longnecks to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 95 pitches over 7 innings. He limited Bloomington to just no runs on 3 hits.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Scranton manager Henry Russell.
