Belugas Pull Back to .500 with Win over Coyotes
|
The Brinkley Belugas stopped the Hamilton Coyotes, 12-4, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The Belugas got a big game from Brandon Cole, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Glen Holland earned his 1st save in 4 tries. Brinkley, at 46-46, occupies 7th place in the Menard's AAA.
Cole had a key at-bat for Brinkley early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and gave Brinkley an early 2-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Cole said in reaction to the win.
