The D.C. Divided defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 8-4, in Premier League action at The Tank. Mike Gardner received player of the game honors. The 9-year veteran went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. At 20-16, the Divided are currently 4th in the Division I.

In the top of the 6th, second baseman Tony Romero gave D.C. the lead when he hit a 2-run triple. The Divided had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out triple off Panama City pitcher Edgardo Marín changed that -- and D.C. went on to win.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Gardner.
