Bloomington used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dustin Richmond to down the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 7-0. Richmond was the winning pitcher and moves to 5-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The first-place Longnecks lifted their record to 54-29.

The Longnecks picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bloomington Longnecks manager Roberto Valverde.
