Rivera Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Scranton in Walk-Off Win
|
The Scranton Supernovas got a stellar performance from pitcher Frank Bryant, who handcuffed the Hialeah offense en route to a 3-2 win at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton reliever R.J. Anderson picked up the win to move to 5-6. Olegário Pa suffered the loss. The Supernovas improved to 44-39.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th. That's when Scranton first baseman Pedro Rivera, facing Olegário Pa, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Supernovas the 3-2 win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Rivera said in his postgame press conference.
