Battlekings Topple Disaster with Late Rally
The Naperville Battlekings beat the Port Royal Disaster, 9-8, at Constellation Ballpark. The Battlekings got a fine performance from left fielder Philip Strickland, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Today's win puts Naperville at 39-43, while Port Royal falls to 42-40.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Naperville trailing 8-7, Strickland hit a fastball from Esteban García for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Battlekings had a walk-off win.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Naperville manager Bobby Robinson.
