The Brinkley Belugas defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-2, in M3L Triple A action at Spirits Stadium, with Brinkley pitcher Juan Montoya named player of the game. Brinkley is 40-42 and Salt Lake City, with the loss, 48-34.

In the top of the seventh inning, first baseman Mario Nieves came through big-time for the Belugas. With Brinkley leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Brinkley manager Melvin Baldwin.
