Big Day by Struck Sparks Longnecks Win
The Bloomington Longnecks downed the Alaskan Humpbacks, 11-4, at Lookouts Ballpark. Ty Struck led the way, going 3-for-5 for Bloomington. Bloomington starter Miguel Cervantes was credited with the win after throwing 120 pitches over 8.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-1. Bloomington goes to 50-28. The win puts them 2˝ games up in their division.

Bloomington took the lead in the bottom of the second on a big hit from Adrián Pueblo. On a 1-1 changeup from Colijn de Goedere, Pueblo hit a 2-run double. That made it 2-0, Longnecks. For the day, Pueblo went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

In comments to the Bloomington Today, Pueblo admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
