Disaster Deal Buzz 8-6 Setback
|
The Port Royal Disaster beat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 8-6, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Port Royal center fielder Aurelio García earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Earning his 6th save of the year was Juan Carlos Herrera. The 'W' lifts Port Royal's record to 29-31.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, when García hit a 2-run single. The Disaster went on to win.
"We'll enjoy this win," said García. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
