Francisco Ortega made an impact in the 7-3 Scranton win over Santa Barbara. Ortega, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in runs scored with 29, went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Scranton, at 26-22, occupies 4th place in the Menard's AAA.
Scranton took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from John Schnatter. On a first pitch fastball from Lance Hodges, Schnatter hit a run-scoring double. That made it 1-0, Supernovas. For the day, Schnatter was 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ortega told the Scranton Gazette.
