Longnecks Sink Buzz, 3-1

The Bloomington Longnecks eeked out a 3-1 win versus the Salt Lake City Buzz at Spirits Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Weatherall, who captured player of the game honors. Weatherall picked up the win for Bloomington, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Enrique López earned the save, his 5th, for the Longnecks.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the third. That's when Silvio Bonauiti, who leads the 3AAA with a .442 on-base percentage, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Longnecks went on to win.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Salt Lake City skipper Enrique Zumaya.
Bloomington has now won 3 in a row.
