Supernovas Beat Longnecks, 7-5
|
Scranton catcher John Schnatter was instrumental in his team's 7-5 win over the Bloomington Longnecks. Schnatter, who is tied for 6th in the 3AAA in bases on balls with 32, went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Supernovas. Scranton reliever Ken Frost picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Bob Weatherall took the loss. Scranton, now 24-20, holds 4th place in the Menard's AAA.
Neil Nash didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Scranton on top, 2-0.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Schnatter told the Scranton Gazette.
