Supernovas first baseman Phillip Tinker put his stamp on his team's 4-1 win over the Naperville Battlekings. Tinker went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Scranton in the contest. The winner was Scranton reliever Nate Rogers, now 2-0. The loser was Chris Hayes. Pedro Garza closed the door for Scranton, picking up his 12th save of the year.

Tinker had a key at-bat for Scranton early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Scranton an early 2-0 lead.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Scranton skipper Henry Russell.
