Battlekings Edge Past Sioux Falls, 5-4

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas got a superb performance from left fielder Juan Rodríguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Naperville. The Battlekings won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Rodríguez was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Naperville now owns a record of 12-20.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth. That's when Naperville center fielder Jim Unknown, facing Orlando Ángel, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Battlekings the 5-4 win.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Unknown told the Naperville Citizen.
