Disaster Fall to .500 After Loss to Belugas

Port Royal second baseman David McJannett had a terrific game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Brinkley beat the Disaster, 6-5. McJannett was named the player of the game despite the loss. Jim Unknown locked down his 1st save. Brinkley now sits in 9th place in the Menard's AAA at 13-17.
Jay Kidd's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant for the Belugas. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Brinkley leading 5-1, the second baseman hit into a double play.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Kidd told the Brinkley Times.
