Supernovas Pull Back to .500 with Win over Buzz
|
Scranton withstood an impressive performance by Salt Lake City right fielder Alan Rosales to defeat the Buzz, 5-4, at Nuclear Stadium. Rosales went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Earning his 7th save of the year was Pedro Garza. At 15-15, the Supernovas are currently 7th in the Menard's AAA.
Xavier Águila, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Stephen Hollingsworth for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put Scranton in front, 5-2.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Salt Lake City manager Enrique Zumaya.
