Coyotes Lose, 7-3, at Belugas Ballpark

Hamilton got a terrific game from designated hitter Alfredo Cardenas. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Brinkley, 7-3. Cardenas was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Juan Montoya was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Their 9-16 record puts the Belugas 11th in the Menard's AAA.
Early in the game, shortstop Arnold Giroux had a 2-run double for Brinkley. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Belugas on top, 2-1.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Giroux said.
