Scranton overcame a superlative game from Lucas Begay to beat Hialeah, 2-1. The Hialeah pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. Scranton reliever Pedro Garza was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Santiago Maes took the loss for Hialeah. With the loss, Hialeah falls to 11-9.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Santiago Maes, José Cordero hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Scranton the 2-1 walk-off win.

"Exciting game to play in," said Cordero. "Getting the win makes it even better."
