Armstrong Helps Disaster Beat Belugas
|
The Port Royal Disaster downed the Brinkley Belugas, 12-6, at Belugas Ballpark. The Disaster were led by Barnett Armstrong, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Esteban García earned the save for Port Royal, his 2nd. The Belugas, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
Port Royal took a 9-6 lead on Armstrong's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Glen Holland in the top of the sixth, propelled Port Royal to the win.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Armstrong, "but we got it done."
