Alejándrez Leads Panama City Past Detroit
The Panama City Piranhas did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Renaissance at Detroit Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Pedro Alejándrez, who captured player of the game honors. Edgardo Marín, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. With the win, the Piranhas have a record of 15-12.

Alejándrez, the winner, is now 4-2. In 8 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 3 hits, while collecting 7 Ks. He basically put the clamps on the Detroit offense.

"Pedro was throwing strikes, locating well," said Panama City manager Brian Kendall.
