Hamilton Coyotes starter Roger Shaw turned in an exceptional performance against the Brinkley Belugas at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, resulting in a Hamilton win, 4-1. The Coyotes have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 6 games.

Early in the game, center fielder Alfredo Cardenas had a 2-run home run for Hamilton. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Coyotes on top, 2-0.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Hamilton Coyotes manager Manny Sánchez. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
