The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes got a strong performance from pitcher Jason Troughton, who stymied the Naperville offense en route to a 4-1 win at Constellation Ballpark. Picking up the save was Alfredo Martínez, his 1st. With the loss, Naperville falls to 3-2.
Also producing for Santa Barbara was first baseman Gilbert Graham, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, Graham was 1-3 with a walk.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Graham told the Santa Barbara Today.
