Becerra, Red Pandas Too Much for Belugas

Sioux Falls and Brinkley duked it out at Belugas Ballpark and the Red Pandas came out victorious.
Sioux Falls first baseman Armando Becerra made his presence felt in the 10-3 Red Pandas triumph over the Brinkley Belugas. Becerra hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Michael Fletcher, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-0. Carlos Guzmán was credited with the save for Sioux Falls, his 1st of the season.
Mauro López, the Sioux Falls center fielder, contributed a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 5-0, Red Pandas. For the game, López went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Juan Ruíz said.
The win leaves Sioux Falls with a record of 2-1.
