The Chicago Gold Sox defeated the Kingston Township Legion, 6-2, in Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park. Rod Jones received player of the game honors. The 4-year veteran went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chicago reliever Will Benton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alfonso Miranda shouldered the loss. Chicago, at 19-14, occupies third place in the Division III.

Arthur Ryan was 1 for 5 against the Legion. In the top of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Chicago in front, 1-0.
