The Capital District Red Knights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Enrique García, who muffled the Chicago offense en route to a tight 3-1 Red Knights win at Capital Grounds. García was the winning pitcher and moves to 3-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. Miguel Toro earned the save, his 7th, for the Red Knights.

José Paz dealt the Gold Sox a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Capital District leading 2-1, Paz, who is tied for 5th in the 3L in stolen bases with 6, hit a 2-1 cutter for a run-scoring single.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," García said.

With the win, Capital District improves its record to 12-8.
