Kingston Township right-hander Woody Carlson pitched his team to victory over the Chicago Hawks at Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 6-2. The loss drops Chicago to 5-14.

Geelong, Australia-born Paddy Hodnett came through in the clutch. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd and the Legion trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right-center to put Kingston Township on top.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Carlson told the Kingston Township Daily.
