Red Knights Win at Montana, 2-1
|
The Capital District Red Knights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Enrique García, who muffled the Montana offense en route to a tight 2-1 Red Knights win at Panda Park. García was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Miguel Toro was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.
Capital District took the lead in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases empty, Sergio Ortíz stroked a solo home run to make it 2-1, Red Knights.
"Runs were at a premium," said Capital District manager Don Lookingbill.
With the win, Capital District elevates its record to 10-7.
