Nuggets Pin 7-5 Loss on Legion
|
The Kingston Township Legion got a superb performance from designated hitter Chad Armstrong, but the Nuggets still won the game, 7-5. Armstrong was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Nuggets raised their record to 8-6.
Andrés Rodríguez contributed an important at-bat in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped send Rocky Mountain to the win.
"The most important thing is that we won," Rodríguez said.
