Dodgers Spoil Opening Day for Red Knights, Their Fans
The 2026 season did not get off to quite the start the Capital District Red Knights had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Brooklyn Dodgers at Capital Grounds. The final score was 9-3. Starting Pitcher Addie Samson was named player of the game for Brooklyn. Samson was the winning pitcher and moves to 1-0. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks.
